Coach Julie

Julie is a pre-title nine athlete who discovered the joy of sport a bit later in life. Completing her first sprint triathlon at the age of 40, not without a near drowning experience, she has become a competitive age group athlete in all distance of triathlon, competed in the Boston Marathon and several endurance swim events. Most recently, she has been named as a USAT All American and will be competing in the ITU World Championships in 2011.
Her formal education is in Nursing, and is a Certified Nurse Practitioner with an MS in nursing, who specialized in health and wellness, and adolescent healthcare. Most recently, she has completed the level I USAT Coaches certification, and has been honing her coaching skills by working with athletes of all ages and abilities from young children through Kids That Tri and older adult women through the CWW Triathlon Team.
Julie is dedicated to health and wellness for all ages and believes in combing competitive sport with a healthy lifestyle. Enjoying good heath and fitness with lots of fun is essential beginning at an early age in order to continue learning and enjoying sport through adulthood.
Julie and her husband, David, reside in Littleton Colorado with their two dogs and are very proud of their two daughters who are not only athletes in their own right but are college graduates, gainfully employed, and living independently.
